In accordance with the Georgia Tech Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Compliance Policy:
- Master's students funded through a covered NSF or NIH grant are required to complete two forms of RCR training.
- USDA NIFA funded master's students are only required to complete the online training (they are encouraged but not required to complete the in-person training).
- The training must be completed before an applicable person graduates or otherwise leaves the Institute even if that imposes a shorter deadline than what is mentioned below.
An online CITI RCR course must be successfully completed within ninety [90] days of first being appointed to a covered project, or before an applicable person graduates or otherwise leaves the Institute even if that imposes a shorter deadline.
Master's students who are funded by a covered NSF grant must complete at least 2 hours of in-person RCR training; those funded a covered NIH grant must complete at least 8 hours of in-person RCR training. The in-person training must be completed within the first year of the appointment to the project, or before the applicable person graduates or otherwise leaves the Institute even if that imposes a shorter deadline.
