The Georgia Tech RCR Compliance Policy requires postdoctoral scholars funded through a covered NSF or NIH grant to complete two forms of RCR training. USDA NIFA-funded postdocs are only required to complete the online training (they are encouraged but not required to complete the in-person training).
An online CITI RCR course must be successfully completed within 90 days of first being appointed to a covered project or before an applicable person leaves the Institute, even if that imposes a shorter deadline.
Postdocs who are funded by a covered NSF grant must complete at least four hours of in-person RCR training; those funded by a covered NIH grant must complete at least eight hours of in-person RCR training. The in-person training must be completed within the first year of the appointment to the project or before the applicable person leaves the Institute, even if that imposes a shorter deadline.
Included in the RCR Compliance Policy is information about RCR re-training requirements.
