The Georgia Tech RCR Compliance Policy requires undergraduate students funded through a covered NSF or NIH project to complete two forms of RCR training. USDA NIFA-funded undergraduates and PURA students are only required to complete the online training (they are encouraged but not required to complete the in-person training).
An online CITI RCR course must be successfully completed within 90 days of first being appointed to a covered project, or before an applicable person graduates or otherwise leaves the Institute, even if that imposes a shorter deadline.
Undergraduates who are funded by a covered NSF grant must complete at least one hour of in-person RCR training. Those funded by a covered NIH grant must complete at least eight hours of in-person RCR training. The in-person training must be completed within the first year of the appointment to the project or before the applicable person graduates or otherwise leaves the Institute, even if that imposes a shorter deadline.
