Login Procedures for those needing to complete CITI training for Georgia Tech

Users with GT Login Credentials

These users should access CITI Program training through the GT CITI Single Sign-On (SSO) link, or by selecting LOG IN THROUGH MY ORGANIZATION in CITI. This will allow CITI training completions to be properly recorded in GT systems.

Users without GT Login Credentials

These users can access the CITI training for Georgia Tech in one of the following ways:

  1. If you have a CITI account that is already affiliated with Georgia Tech, you should continue to LOG IN to CITI with your existing CITI Program username and password.

  1. **NEW PROCEDURE** If you do NOT have a CITI account that is already affiliated with Georgia Tech, you will need to request access to CITI. This request will be reviewed by the Office of Research Integrity Assurance (ORIA) CITI Team.

Important Notes

  • The ORIA CITI Team will review requests by an individual or small group who needs to take the CITI training through Georgia Tech. However, if your department or program plans to host 10 or more visiting researchers (for example, in an REU program), please sponsor GT Guest Accounts for the visiting researchers in Passport prior to asking them to take CITI training.
  • Guest Accounts will be created daily during regular business hours and may take 30 minutes or more to synchronize. Please allow for these delays if you need to take CITI training.
  • If immediate access is needed, all Georgia Tech program staff are able to create guest accounts via Passport for collaborators who require access to CITI.
  • CITI users who have received GT Guest Accounts should access CITI through the GT CITI SSO link. These users should then make a note of their CITI Program username (typically in the format LastnameFirstname) and should reset their CITI Program password. This will enable them to LOG IN to their CITI account after their GT Guest Account expires.
  • Users with GT login credentials who originally created their CITI accounts without SSO should link their existing CITI account to their GT credentials using these Matching Instructions.
